Judge and Bracksieck welcomed their first child, daughter Nora Rose Judge, on Jan. 27, 2025.<\/p>\n
The professional baseball player announced the news\u00a0on Instagram, sharing a black-and-white photo of the newborn\u2019s feet. \u201cWhat an incredible week it\u2019s been, can\u2019t wait for the memories the three of us make,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
The birth capped off a successful season for the California native, who won his second American League Most Valuable Player award in\u00a0a unanimous vote\u00a0in November 2024. He earned it for\u00a0the first time\u00a0two years prior.<\/p>\n
Notably, Judge didn\u2019t attend the Baseball Writers\u2019 Association of America Awards dinner on Jan. 25, as he stayed home to support Samantha during the final stretch of her pregnancy. Instead, he accepted the honor in a\u00a0pre-recorded message, noting that family came first.<\/p>\n

During spring training, Judge opened up about how becoming a father has given his career a new meaning, both on and off the field. In particular, he hopes his love for the sport encourages her to go after her own dreams one day.<\/p>\n
\u201cHaving the chance to have her grow up and watch me do what I love, if there\u2019s any way I can inspire her through playing this game to do something special, that\u2019s that\u2019s going to be pretty cool,\u201d\u00a0Judge told reporters\u00a0in February 2025.<\/p>\n

The statement piece, commissioned by close friend and teammate\u00a0Giancarlo Stanton\u00a0and designed by AJ Machado of AJ\u2019s Jewelry in Miami, is packed with personal touches, according to the\u00a0New York Post<\/em>. The necklace is crafted in 14-karat white gold and encrusted with over 12 carats of VVS-grade diamonds. It also features purple gems.<\/p>\n
Etched into the piece are names and dates that matter most to Judge: \u201cNora,\u201d his daughter\u2019s name, along with her birthday, January 27, 2025. His wife, Samantha, is honored with the engraving \u201cSam,\u201d and the names of the couple\u2019s beloved dogs, Gus and Penny, also appear.<\/p>\n

Though she\u2019s still a baby, Nora Rose is already a baseball fan.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s been to a lot of games,\u201d Judge told the\u00a0New York Post<\/em>\u00a0in June 2025. \u201cShe loves it. She\u2019s usually sleeping for half of them, but she loves it.\u201d<\/p>\n
The proud dad says Nora is on the baseball schedule, staying up late after games and sleeping in alongside him and his wife, Samantha. Mornings are for playing together before he heads off to Yankee Stadium. But it can be difficult for the pro athlete when his family can\u2019t join him for away games.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not sleeping that well on the road,\u201d he shared. \u201cI\u2019m so used to having them right there and knowing that they\u2019re safe and with me. So some of the road trips when they\u2019re not going, I\u2019m up all night tossing and turning, thinking they\u2019re next to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
The new father also finds joy in the small things, like showing off baby photos to anyone who will look, a move he would previously tease friends about.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can chat over different things,\u201d the MVP added. \u201cLike I talked with Grish and he asked me a question about, \u2018Hey, what\u2019s the secret to help them sleep through the night? You got anything for me?\u2019 Little things like that. So it\u2019s pretty cool we get to share those moments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Judge has racked up plenty of accolades during his baseball career \u2014 from MVPs to record-breaking home run seasons \u2014 but none compare to the role he values most: being a father.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just want to be\u00a0just like my dad,\u201d he told the\u00a0New York Post<\/em>\u00a0in June 2025. \u201cI want to be able to teach my daughter important life lessons, always be there for her and show her the importance of hard work and little things like that. It\u2019s probably the biggest title I got, getting a chance to be my daughter\u2019s dad; that\u2019s special.\u201d<\/p>\n
Even when the box score doesn\u2019t go his way, time with his daughter helps him reset.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s still looking at me with the same smile, no matter what happens,\u201d Judge continued. \u201cThat just helps me turn the page a little quicker to get to the next day, to the next moment, because I want to enjoy every moment I have with her and share those special moments. So I don\u2019t want to drag what I\u2019m doing at work home when I see her. That definitely helps me turn the page a little better.\u201d<\/p>\n
